I spent a couple of days in Doha, Qatar last year.

Residents in Chiawelo, Soweto, where District 9 was shot, feel disappointed and let down after the film crew left the slum. As in the film, the residents in the real District 9 are also forced to move to community housing. Some resist the move, others are angry because they have waited many years for a much needed relocation. Joseph Shimange worked on the film set and claims the film crew still owes him money.

Thembi and her Daughter Rilaweta just bought a DVD-player to see the film in which she featured as an extra.

John Masingi has lived in this shack since 1990. He has waited 8 years to be relocated to community housing.

Benedict Sikaza features as a prostitute in District 9. The film gave us the hope that things will change, she says, but now we are forgotten again.

When I shot the cast of «A Midsummer night´s Dream» for D2 in 2009, i played around with the video function on my new 5D and shot a little «Behind the scenes»-film at the resturant in The National Theater in Oslo.

I met Geir Haarde on assignment for Magasinet in Iceland. The ex prime minister of Iceland was hesitant to go out in the cold storm that was hitting Reykjavik this cold October evening. The picture was never printed as the anniversary of the Berlin Wall got the cover this week.
